Seattle based Blues artist Joel Astley and his high energy band deliver an engaging blend of catchy original music and select classic cuts spanning blues, swing, funk, soul, jazz, roots rock, and Americana. His strong songwriting, his charisma on stage, smooth vocals, and blazing harp chops have earned him the reputation of being a world class talent.

He and his band have amassed dozens of awards, nominations and other accolades, with multiple sweeps at the annual Washington Blues Society Awards. They tour regularly, have headlined many festivals throughout the Pacific Northwest, and have played festivals up and down the West Coast. They are two-time semifinalists at the International Blues Challenge in Memphis. They notably rang in the New Year at San Francisco's famed Blues club Biscuits & Blues, and they opened at the 6th annual Greaseland Soiree at Kid Andersen's legendary Greaseland Recording Studio in San Jose.

Astley made a splash on the international Blues music scene with his 2023 debut album, Seattle To Greaseland, which came in at Number 7 on the Blues Billboard Top Ten and received critical acclaim worldwide. Joel is currently signed with MoMojo Records, and is a featured artist with Lee Oskar Harmonicas. The band is working on a new album, expected to be released in early 2027.

An interesting side note: Joel Astley came to music after many years working in the visual arts. He is still an active visual artist; his paintings, prints and drawings are in many private collections, and his designs have appeared on album covers and festival tee shirts.
